This is a super simple snack mix that you can make at home with just five ingredients. You might even already have them in your pantry!
Both my kids love to snack, as I am sure yours does as well! My son especially likes to have his little snack cup always filled so he can grab a quick Cheerio whenever he wants.
I decided to make a fun snack mix after constantly pulling out a snack every time we went somewhere. Plus I thought I had some fun stuff to put together to make a kid friendly trail mix type snack.
I keep this mix in a glass jar and just pour some in our little snack container to take on the go or for a snack around the house. Nic likes to eat a little bit of everything so I knew he would be into having little snack mix containing all his favorite goodies.
I got all of this from Aldi and everything was super cheap! Especially the freeze dried strawberries, they were only $2.99 and the bag was SUPER FULL of strawberries! Not to mention they are SO GOOD too.
All these brands taste just as good as the name brands too but are so much cheaper! I am a big fan of Aldi and I try to shop there to get as much stuff as possible before going anywhere else to stock up on groceries.
Just throw all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix them up and store in an air tight container.
I had a cool glass container to store them in that my Mom got me for Christmas a few years back. A plastic bag will do just fine too.
Homemade Snack Mix
- 1 cup of Apple Cinnamon Straws
- 1 cup of Animal Crackers
- 1 cup of Honey Mini Bear Grahams
- 1 cup Freeze Dried Strawberries (or apples would be good too or try both)
- 1 cup of Multi Grain Crispy Oats (honey would be good too)
Directions: Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix with a wooden spoon to combine. Store in air tight container.
Yep, that’s it, told you it was super simple!!! I am totally going to experiment with other flavors too! I am definitely going back to get more freeze dried fruit. I know I saw apples, which would go great in this mix.
Hope your littles enjoy this mix! Let me know if you make it or what your little ones like to snack on!
